LA SPEZIA

La Spezia is a port city in northern Italy, located in the Liguria region. It is the gateway to the Cinque Terre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of five villages that cling to the cliffs along the Ligurian coast. La Spezia is a great base for visiting the Cinque Terre, as it offers a variety of amenities and attractions, as well as convenient transportation options.

La Spezia is easily accessible by train, bus, or car. The city is connected to the Cinque Terre by a regular train service, which takes about 30 minutes to reach Riomaggiore, the first village of the Cinque Terre. There are also several bus companies that offer day trips to the Cinque Terre from La Spezia.

PORTOVENERE

Portovenere is a picturesque Italian village located on the Ligurian coast, in the province of La Spezia. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is known for its stunning beauty, rich history, and cultural significance.

The village is built on a promontory overlooking the Gulf of Poets, and is surrounded by steep cliffs and clear blue waters. The harbor is lined with colorful houses and boats, and the narrow streets are filled with shops, restaurants, and cafes.

Portovenere is also a popular destination for artists and writers. The village has been visited by many famous figures, including Lord Byron, Percy Shelley, and Gustave Flaubert. The village's beauty and charm inspired many of their works.
